Ranger Don Freidhoff                                                                                            Ranger John Buz

We would like to take a moment to thank you all for being a part of the Scouting movement. Scouting has been part of our lives since we were Cub Scouts ourselves. We believe in the Scouting values and programs. Ranger John is an Eagle Scout from Troop 43 Bath, PA and Ranger Don was a Life Scout from the former Penn’s Woods Council. We have both been part of camp staff prior to our positions here.

When you visit our camps we hope that you will enjoy the beautiful lakes and landscape that we enjoy ourselves every day. If you get the time, take a hike on one of our more than 20 miles of trails that is spread out over our 2,000 acres between both camps. Hike quietly and you might see the Pennsylvania white tail deer that is abundant here at our camps. Some animals we see ourselves more often than not include wild turkey, fox, coyote, rabbits, squirrels, skunks, opossums, raccoons and bald eagles, some animals that we see intermittently include beaver, musk rats, porcupines and most recently signs of fisher cats and otters.

Click through the following links you will see we have put up some Information that will help you utilize both camps better. We offer land navigation courses that have been set up by various groups at both the properties. At TSR’s Hawkeye field we have a orienteering course set-up in the off-season camping area that can help teach map and compass to new Scouts and refine your older Scouts. We also both have a national Scouting geocaching point at the entrances of both our camps. Feel free to find it, log your visit and trade or add to the box. Camp trail maps are here also.

Check in to this link from time to time and see what new information that we will put up. If you would like us to add something contact one of us know.
